AUSTIN & LANCES WEDDING
ON THE BLUFFS ~ SHELTER COVE CALIFORNIA
This was a BIG arrangement, about 20 feet from end to end and about 4 feet high in the center. It was in such a wide open space that it makes it appear much smaller! And the only picture I was able to get of the entire beautiful wedding!
SOPHIA & CARSON
This wedding is a perfect example of the beauty to be found all over Southern Humboldt. The woodlands here are deep and quiet. Walks in the woods are a healing experience. It really helps to have a wedding vendor if you are having a destination wedding, we know all the rules and cool spots!
This wedding was really special for me. The bride is a 3rd generation native to Humboldt, and this land is the home to much of their family. I have known Sophia since she was the tiniest little cutie pie. Sophia knew what she wanted, she has been dreaming of it her whole life. I was more than excited to be a part of helping her dream come to life!
We decorated the entrance to the grove with a free flowing arrangement mounted up high on a big Douglas Fir tree, inviting the guests further down the path with another grand arrangement. The pathway wound through the woods until we arrived at a naturaly open circle deep in the woods. My daughter and I spent the morning of the wedding building the Ceremony Circle and hanging out with the elders that have passed. They were there, you could feel them.
TEA & JOE
CASTLE INN ~ SHELTER COVE CALIFORNIA
Tea & Joe’s wedding at the Castle Inn in Shelter Cove was one of my all time favorite events. It was a great collaboration of some of the areas best local wedding vendors, each bringing a part to this wonderful & very fun event. When the plans fell through for the wedding arbor, the very talented DPerkins Events built us the Redwood arbor you see in the picture! Their banquet style tables were set for the guests on the bluff overlooking the ocean. Humboldt Box Bar was parked next to the Castle Inn ready to serve. J Catering crew was making the place smell yummy, and when the talented DJ Rundat arrived the party was on! The sound of the waves, the misty fog, the fragrant Eucalptus and the lush blue & white flowers all together was so enchanting!
SARA & MICHAEL
REDWOOD GROVE WEOTT CALIFORNIA
Sara worked for me for several great years in my shop in Garberville, but sadly my entire crew was laid off due to Covid. Nowadays, lucky for me, she helps out in the studio when I need extra help, so I was thrilled when she told me she was engaged! Yes, I would love to do the flowers!
Everything about this wedding was magical. It was a very small family only ceremony in the serenly beautiful Williams Grove. Sara had her heart set on a Tropical Fusion style. My favorite Hawaiian Farm shipped over the Anturriums and Dancing Lady Orchids. Fragrant Garden Roses were the only other thing I needed to order, the rest was grown here at Tranquility Lane. I have always found that when I can make something for someone I love, the creatvity just flows so easily. That was certaintly how i felt about this wedding!
THE SPENGLERS VOW RENEWAL
BENBOW INN GARBERVILLE CALIFORNIA
I first consulted with Jeannie Spengler in 2019. Then Covid hit, and we tried for the next 2 years to book another date with no sucess. Finally in 2022 everything fell into place and we were able to go full steam ahead! This ws a June ceremony so the timing was just right to share our crop of Peonies with them. I ordeered some luscious Garden Roses and China Mums, and picked the garden for all the little sweet touches. The lush Peony arrangements fit the English Garden style of the Benbow Inn perfectly. And I made some new friends! Yay!
A couple of other Bride Bouquets that i was especially fond of this year, and a glimpse of the Eucalyptus table Garlands studded with Cafe Au Lait Dahlias. Alas, i was too busy for good pictures, but the 20 foot garlands on the banquet style tables were awesome and fit into the rustic country back yard setting perfectly.
