This wedding is a perfect example of the beauty to be found all over Southern Humboldt. The woodlands here are deep and quiet. Walks in the woods are a healing experience. It really helps to have a wedding vendor if you are having a destination wedding, we know all the rules and cool spots!

This wedding was really special for me. The bride is a 3rd generation native to Humboldt, and this land is the home to much of their family. I have known Sophia since she was the tiniest little cutie pie. Sophia knew what she wanted, she has been dreaming of it her whole life. I was more than excited to be a part of helping her dream come to life!

We decorated the entrance to the grove with a free flowing arrangement mounted up high on a big Douglas Fir tree, inviting the guests further down the path with another  grand arrangement. The pathway wound through the woods until we arrived at a naturaly open circle deep in the woods. My daughter and I spent the morning of the wedding building the Ceremony Circle and hanging out with the elders that have passed. They were there, you could feel them.

Tea & Joe’s wedding at the Castle Inn in Shelter Cove was one of my all time favorite events. It was a great collaboration of some of the areas best local wedding vendors, each bringing a part to this  wonderful & very fun event. When the plans fell through for the wedding arbor, the very talented DPerkins Events built us the Redwood arbor you see in the picture! Their banquet style tables were set for the guests on the bluff overlooking the ocean. Humboldt Box Bar was parked next to the Castle Inn ready to serve.  J Catering crew was making the place smell yummy, and when the talented DJ Rundat arrived the party was on! The sound of the waves, the misty fog, the fragrant Eucalptus and the lush blue & white  flowers all together was so enchanting!
